Drilling Structure Recertification
More often than not our customers that have purchased, or intend to purchase an offshore or land rig, and there is very little documentation, and no name plate evidence of the capacity of their drilling Derrick or Mast. When this is the case we can assist our customers by going through the procedure to recertify the Derrick or Mast. Global 1 will carry out an analysis of the structure using member geometry and also taking into account the condition and age of the Derrick / Mast.
Global 1 has the Engineering capability and resources that can turnkey all aspects of the work scopes, from site survey and engineering, to the replacement of any like for like damaged members, or an upgrade kit for the Derrick / Mast.
The same criteria would apply if our customers need to increase their hook load /setback area, or other loads that were not intended for the original design of the Derrick / Mast.
Global 1 has the qualifications and accreditations, and holds strategic locations to support our customer’s projects on all aspects of structural engineering, and rectification. Once our customers work scopes are completed by Global 1, they will receive all the relevant certification and documentation confirming the capacity of the customer's Drilling Structure is in accordance with the relevant governing bodies.
